Privacy Policy
What we collect
Your first name if you give it, quiz answers (goal, focus areas, activity level, age band, medication question, equipment), the program and coach you chose, completed sessions, streaks, habit ticks, reminder preference, invite codes, and any weight or waist measurements you log.
Account
Melt creates an anonymous account when you first open the app. If you save it with Apple or Google we receive an identifier and, if you allow it, your email address. We never receive your password.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to know whether your membership is active. We do not see your card details.
Analytics and crash reports
We measure how the app is used (screens viewed, sessions completed) and record crashes with PostHog to improve Melt. This is tied to your anonymous identifier, not your name.
Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health, Melt reads your step count to tick the steps habit and writes each finished session as a workout. That data stays on your phone and is never sent to us.
Camera and photos
Progress photos are stored on your device only. When you ask your coach to look at a gym photo or a progress photo, that single image is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis and is not stored by us or used to train models. The result comes back as text; the image is discarded.
Coach chat
Messages you send your coach are stored under your account so the conversation continues, and are processed by our AI provider to generate replies. Do not share medical details you would not want processed this way.
Where data lives
Account data is stored with Supabase in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Only you can read your rows.
Your rights
Delete your account and all associated data from Settings at any time. For a copy of your data or any question, contact [email protected].
Children
Melt is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
